What are TixKeeper Editors?

What are TixKeeper Editors?

When your organization is added, you will receive one Admin Editor User ID and Password. The basic TixKeeper package allows for two additional editors, setup either as Admin or Team. One User ID can be shared within your organization by multiple people.

Types of TixKeeper Editors:

  • Admin Editors - Admin Editors can access the Admin Page. Through this page, they can view and modify organization information. Admin Editors have the ability to add, edit, and delete any of the organization's reservations.

  • Team Editors - Team Editors are added with a specific "team" name and have restricted editing rights. They cannot view or edit organization or editor information (in other words, there is not "Admin Page" button). They can add, edit, or delete reservations.

Managing TixKeeper Editors

The Admin Page displays the current number of editors for the organization and the maximum allowed. This number is displayed to the right of the Help Button (for example, [3/10] ). As long as the maximum has not been reached, the Admin Editor can add additional Editors by selecting the "Create New Editor" button. The following fields are displayed on the "Event Editor Editor" screen:

  • Editor Organization - Displays your Organization's TixKeeper Code. This is prefilled by PlymouthRocket and cannot be changed.

  • Editor Team - This field is used to designate this Editor as an Admin Editor (select "ADMIN") or a Team Editor (select or enter a name for the "Team"). The Editor Team must be 20 characters or less.

  • Editor User ID - Enter a User ID for the user (maximum 10 characters). The entered text will be automatically appended to the Organization Code. On the TixKeeper Login screen, the complete User ID including Organization Code must be entered (e.g., "ORGCODE-Smith").

  • Editor Password - Enter any password 20 characters or less.

  • Editor Name - A personal name can be provided for this Editor User ID. In most cases, this field will be the name of a person who is assigned this Editor User ID, but it could identify a group of users within the organization. This value will be use to set the "modified by" audit field for Events.

  • Editor Email - The email of the person assigned to this Editor User ID, if applicable.

  • Editor Phone - The phone number of the person assigned to this Editor User ID, if applicable.

  • Editor Post Status - This field is not applicable to TixKeeper editors.

  • Editing Begins With - The initial subject of the editing session (events or notes).

  • Initial Keyword - The initial keyword used to select the events or notes to be edited. If this field is blank, a keyword of ALL is assumed which will display all notes or events.

  • Editor Can Add Conflicts - This field is not applicable to TixKeeper editors.

  • Editor Usually Checks Conflicts - This field is not applicable to TixKeeper editors.
