Winter Concerts @the Crane Akiko Kobayashi

winter music imageCome embrace the season with a series of concerts in the historic Richardson room. Our Annual Winter Concerts @the Crane continue this year with a fabulous line up. Happening every weekend that is not a holiday/3-day weekend in January, Febuary, and March. Watch individidual dates for developments and additional details. Here is the lineup:

  • January 7: Akiko Kobayashi, solo classical violin
    New York City-based violinist Akiko Kobayashi will be performing works from Baroque to 20th Century, including Bach, Kreisler and Ysaye. These works hearken back to the classical traditions of Bach, culminating in Ysaye's homage to Bach's Six Violin Solo Sonatas & Partitas in his own Six Violin Solo Sonatas.
  • January 21: Arneis String Quartet, Back to the Basics with Haydn (op. 33 #5) and Beethoven (op. 59 #1)
  • January 28: The Promise is Hope, an award winning duo shaped by tastes of folk, electronic, acoustic and pop
  • February 4: Crowes Pasture, classic and contemporary folk duo
  • February 11: Marc Berger Duo, American roots msuic grounded in remote areas of the desert and mountain West
  • February 25: Celia Zhang and Raley Beggs, locally based classical violin and guitar
  • March 4: The Softer Side of Celtic with Jeff Snow
  • March 11: Haley Hewitt, Celtic Harpist
  • March 18: Masa, led by Masataka Yamamoto, Jazz Quintet
  • March 25: Dorisiya Yosifova (solo violin chamber music)
