Winter Concerts @the Crane MASA

winter music imageMASA's music is a combination of R&B, Jazz and Hip-hop with real instruments and real people. The most important aspect of music for band leader Masataka Yamamoto is to be able to connect with the musicians and the audience.

Jazz gave me the ability to improvise and converse with other musicians, R&B taught me about soul and groove and Hip-hop gave me the ability to express myself fully and honestly. Lately I've been getting a lot of inspiration from electronic music and my goal is to mix analog, vintage and organic sounds with digital, electronic sounds and be able to perform them live.  I plan to play some of my original music that I have been working on lately as well as music from other artists that have inspired me the most. 

Come embrace the season with a series of concerts in the historic Richardson room. Our Annual Winter Concerts @the Crane continue this year with a fabulous line up. Happening every weekend that is not a holiday/3-day weekend in January, Febuary, and March. Watch individidual dates for developments and additional details. Here is the lineup:
