VIRTUAL Simplifying Type 2 Diabetes
7:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Part two of a series of three diabetes education programs. Part 3 will be held on Wednesday, March 17 at 7:00pm.
Ever feel overwhelmed trying to understand what this condition called Type 2 Diabetes is and how to manage it? Don't worry, you’re not the only one. In fact, there are currently 34.2 million people living with Diabetes in the US. The key is to have a basic understanding of what Diabetes is and the important role daily self- management plays in keeping your blood sugars under control. Attend this program, walk away with need to know, simplified strategies to help you manage your Diabetes, achieve your blood sugar goals, and prevent potential, serious long-term complications.
This program is funded by a grant from UMASS Memorial HealthAlliance-Clinton Hospital's Determination of Needs Fund.
Scherrie Keating is a keynote, educational and motivational speaker on the topics of Prediabetes, Type 2 Diabetes and Type 3 Diabetes.
As a Registered Nurse for over 37 years and a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist, she has cared for thousands of people living with Diabetes and has seen the devastating consequences of chronic elevated blood sugar. After learning Type 2 Diabetes was preventable, she became a CDC, National Diabetes Prevention Program Lifestyle Coach, Certified Dementia Specialist and started Diabetes Kare Consulting, LLC.
Scherrie’s mission and passion is to make an impact in the prediabetes epidemic, increase awareness, offer risk screening, and help people start their journey to preventing Type 2 Diabetes for life. She uses her personal cancer story and expertise to inspire and provide life changing education, helps people turn that education into action now and offers ongoing support and coaching for lifelong success. She recently created an online school of education and the Diabetes Prevention for Life Program. She offers healthcare professional, community and corporate wellness programs and speaks throughout the US.

VIRTUAL Take Control of Your Diabetes, Live Healthier & Longer
7:00 PM - 8:00 PM

This is the final program in our series of three diabetes education programs.
Did you know that Diabetes is the leading cause of kidney failure, lower limb amputations and adult onset blindness? They result from chronic elevated blood sugars. The good news is you can help decrease your risks of developing these complications by achieving your Diabetes ABC goals and having regular screenings recommended by the American Diabetes Association. Attend this program and start taking control of your Diabetes instead of letting your Diabetes take control of you! It is possible to live a long and healthy life with Type 2 Diabetes.
This program is funded by a grant from UMASS Memorial HealthAlliance-Clinton Hospital's Determination of Needs Fund.
