Description (old) Two at Two Hundred -- Open House
At First Baptist Church and American Antiquarian Society

This open house commemorates the bicentennials of both the First Baptist Church and the American Antiquarian Society. The Society will conduct on-going public tours of Antiquarian Hall, display materials related to the War of 1812, and perform a one-person play about the Society’s founder entitled Isaiah Thomas – Patriot Printer at 10:30 a.m. and noon. At the First Baptist Church, professor Stephen A. Marini will deliver a public talk entitled, "Being Baptist in 1812: Theology, Worship, and Politics" at 1 p.m. Marini is the Elisabeth Luce Moore Professor of Christian Studies at Wellesley College.
