Want to check the weather? Find deals at the supermarket? Learn a language? Read a book? Get directions? Play a game? There’s an app for that, and for just about anything you can think of!
If you are curious about apps and what your smartphone or tablet can do, please join Reference Librarian Sarah Roberts for Appy Hour on Tuesday, September 17th at 10:30am. We will sip on sparkling cider as we learn about what an app actually is, how to find and download apps, and how apps can make our lives easier, more organized and more fun!
You do not need to bring anything with you to this program, but you are more than welcome to bring your smartphone and/or app-enabled device such as your ipad or Kindle Fire so we can assist you with downloading apps of interest to you. Areas of interest to be covered may include library-sponsored apps, weather, shopping, games, photography, social media, news, and health apps. Do you have apps you love and use regularly? Join us and spread the word!
Registration is not necessary for these workshops. Adults, teens and ‘tweens are welcome. If you are unable to attend please stop by the library, call or email to make an appointment with Sarah for help with device advice, apps, accessing our digital collections or any other relevant questions. Questions may be directed to Reference Librarian Sarah Roberts at 781-982-2139 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
