Free legal assistance is provided by a volunteer lawyer from the Alameda County Bar Association. The attorney will consult to define your problem, advise you of your options, get you started with a solution, and make a referral when needed. 

The Dublin Library will start taking sign-ups for the Lawyer in the Library one week before the lawyer's appearance. Advance registration is required.

In registering for an appointment, you agree to the following limitations and conditions:

• Your appointment must be used to talk about your own legal issues.
• Your appointment is for a maximum 15 minutes. 
• You must arrive 5 minutes early to check in at the Reference Desk to secure your appointment. Latecomers forfeit their appointment.
• You have not had an appointment within the past six months. A no-show is considered an appointment.
• You will bring any paperwork pertaining to your case when you come to see the lawyer.
• This free consultation is not intended to, and does not establish, a continuing attorney/client relationship.  The volunteer attorney can only provide brief consultation and referrals (as necessary). The volunteer will not represent you in any matter.
