.THIS CAMP IS NOW FULL. Nature Science Camp for Children going into the 2nd or 3rd grade in the fall with SaveNature.org

We will do lots of hands on discovery, each day a different activity!

-Terrariums and Bean Dissection: Students predict, dissect and observe how a bean (seed) grows. Following this activity students review the water cycle and plant seeds in individual terrariums. The terrarium allows students to monitor the growth of their plants and make observations throughout the duration of the program.

-Insect Diversity: Students will hold and observe a variety of live insects from around the world, learning about insect anatomy, adaptations and defense mechanisms.

-Squid Dissection: Students dissect and examine the anatomy of a marine invertebrate- the California Market Squid. The dissection includes locating and identifying body parts as well as understanding physical functions.

-Edible EdVentures: Students explore four ingredients harvested from rainforests around the world and learn how these plants get from nature to the table. Lesson activity includes making ice cream using some of the featured ingredients!
