Global Wordsmiths provides free translation and interpretation services for libraries and other nonprofit organizations through their Language Access Project. This training session explains what language access is, why language access is important, how to recognize when it's needed, how to engage with language access resources, and how to work with interpreters.

Mary Jayne McCullough is the founder and Director of Global Wordsmiths, and a fifteen-year veteran translator and interpreter who is dedicated to improving language access in Western Pennsylvania. She believes in language access as a human right and works hard to develop innovative ways of helping people communicate in order to access the services they need.
