Add this Event to Calendar 10/31/2020 10:00 AM 10/31/2020 05:00 PM Barn Owl Pellet Dissection Kit through Curbside Pickup

Contrary to what kids might think, owl pellets are puke, not poop! Owls swallow their prey whole, but cannot digest bones, teeth, and fur. Pellets are a record of what owls have eaten and scientists study them to learn more about the owl and its ecosystem.

Register to pick up a Barn Owl Pellet Dissection Kit through our Curbside Service. Each kit includes 2 sterilized barn owl pellets, a plastic tweezer, a bone chart, instructions, and educational materials. This science project is best for elementary school students and older; younger children will need assistance.

Kits are limited; one per child Grade 5 and under. After registration, the library will contact you for a pick up time through Curbside Service the week of Oct. 26 - Oct. 31.
