In an abundance of caution, and following the recommendations from leading health officials to encourage 'social distancing' to help reduce the transmission of Covid-19, the Attleboro Public Library is cancelling and/or postponing all group events and meetings indefinitely. The Library shall re-evaluate this decision moving forward based upon any new developments that occur over the next few weeks.
The "You Are Not Alone" monthly drop in clinic and resource center provides information, community support and access to immediate treatment for those affected by substance use, mental illness, and/or domestic violence. Local providers and members of the Greater Attleboro Recovery Network (GARN) including Fuller Hospital, South Bay Counseling Center, Greater Attleboro Area Suicide Prevention Coalition (GAASPC), Alcoholics Anonymous, Justice Resource Institute (JRI), Learn 2 Cope, New Hope, Inc., St. Vincent de Paul, High Point Treatment Center, and NORCAP Lodge are represented. Free Narcan training is provided through Seven Hills Behavioral Health. Anonymity is an important part of this program as well. It is imperative that community members feel comfortable seeking help, whether it is for themselves or someone else.
The "You Are Not Alone" drop in center will be open from 6pm to 8pm on the 3rd Thursday of the month in the Attleboro Public Library’s Balfour Room.
