The Allegheny County Park Rangers will teach grade K-5 students about track and scat identification of local species. Students will learn which tracks and scat belong to which species by comparing these signs to the animals’ furs. There will be exploration of different game trails that cross park hiking trails and the opportunity for students to make a cast of any tracks they find. Students/caregivers will meet at Grant Shelter in South Park. Please wear sunscreen, walking/hiking shoes, comfortable clothing and bring a lunch! After the program we will enjoy lunch at the shelter and play on the swingset! Registration required.
