I am Alissa Conover, the Community Advocate from Civic Access. I am requesting to make a reservation the conference room (foods allowed) up to 15 people. The certifated deaf advocate and I will provide the workshop to the local deaf communtiy memebrs. We aim to teach them how to self-advocate when the communciation access barriers at any settings such as medical, instructions, community events and others. Deaf Self Advocate Training (DSAT for short) tool kit is from Northeasterm University and was awarded from grant donors. The grant cycle has ended in September 2016. Therefore, the certifated DSAT trainers consistly educate to the deaf community and are sponsored by Civic Access.
