B. A. R. K. (Be A Reading Kid)

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED; PLEASE BE SURE TO REGISTER EACH CHILD SEPARATELY. ALSO, PARENTS/CAREGIVERS DO NOT NEED TO BE REGISTERED, ONLY THEIR CHILDREN.

Children ages 4-11 are welcome to be part of the popular B.A.R.K. (Be A Reading Kid) program here at the library. This is a great opportunity for beginner or reluctant readers - as well as experienced readers - to build confidence, enhance literary skills achieved during the school year, and develop a love of reading.

The Derby Public Library welcomes therapy dog Molly who is following in her brother Ollie’s “paw steps”.   Children will be given a 10-minute time slot to read and may select a book from Molly and Ollie’s Book Picks display to share with her for the program.
