All ages are invited to join us this summer as we kick off our summer reading clubs on June 22 with our "I Spy a Book in the Window" city-wide campaign! Participation is simple, all you need to do is place a homemade paper "book cover" in a window at your house or apartment that is visible from the street or sidewalk for others to "spy". By incorporating bright, vivid colors and bolder text your masterpiece will certainly catch someone`s eye. Be creative and have fun!
Each family member can create their own cover, perhaps of their favorite fairy tale or something they are currently reading. Swap them out through the summer posting new covers every few weeks making it a family project...the possibilities are endless!
Whether you are taking a stroll or riding a bike around your neighborhood or driving through Derby see how many book covers you can "spy" this summer!
Remember to social distance when going out and wear your mask.
