Your health and safety are our top concern, so we are modifying this event to reflect that.  For anybody unfamiliar with this program, the "normal" description is provided below the modified version to give you an idea of the scope of the event when it is held on-site.

The return of this program  for children ages 3-7 years old  takes place weekly on the last two Fridays in September.  Those registered will pick up take-and-make packets the day before the event date which will accompany the virtual part of the program (pick-up details & virtual link to be provided after registering).  

Normal, On-Site Event Description

The Derby Public Library invites preschoolers to a weekly Friday morning program.  S.T.E.A.M. Ahead is a blend of story time and hands-on activities that lend to exploring the world of science, technology, engineering, art, and math at a preschool level.  Discovery through interactive experiments will lead participants to a basic understanding of such topics as how plants grow, weather, math, science, using shapes, and more.  Children will attend this story time on their own while a caregiver remains in the Children’s Room.
