.Active Bystander Training at Goffstown Fire Department

This two-hour training led by Aron DiBacco of the Granite State Organizing Project will give you tools and insights to use in such situations and a chance to think about how you might use them. In this highly interactive session we present information, share experiences, and strategize bystander responses to a variety of situations. Participants will learn about roles we all play, what discourages us from acting when we see harm doing, how to move through this resistance, tools to use when we are ready, and basic principles to guide our actions.

Registration is requested.

This event is part of our Courageous Community Conversations series; please visit http://www.goffstownlibrary.com/communityconversation for more information.

This year’s Courageous Community Conversations are focused on race and diversity in America. Our reading list and conversations are designed to help us understand many racial and cultural issues, as well as provide a starting point to open up the conversation about race in Goffstown, and hopefully, in other surrounding communities. In our present social environment, it is important to be racially and culturally diverse, to be socially aware, and to learn and grow.
