Cosby & Tom Concert: 'Lumberjack Songs'

START: 04/08/2019 06:00 PM

END: 04/08/2019 07:00 PM

DESCRIPTION:

Mohawk Valley singer-songwriters Cosby Gibson and Tom Staudle play songs and tell stories from the 19th century lumberjacks of upstate New York.

The Adirondack Lumber Camp Songs will feature historic songs sung by lumberjacks at their camps in the Adirondack Mountains in the 1800s. Lumberjacks did not sing while working, but instead waited until they were back at their camps, gathered around the fire.  Besides the songs, this performance also includes interesting narrative about this charming and tough work era in upstate New York. The program is one hour long and is geared towards both children and adults.

Cosby and Tom are award-winning songwriters and singers who play a variety of instruments, including guitar, fiddle, banjo, ukulele, and harmonica.
