Location: Heritage Park. We will meet at the parking lot on Chestnut Oak Road.
Heritage Park is a community favorite. Acquired in 1967, the park offers 115 acres of trails crossing several streams and passing by a shepherd’s hut. We’ll climb Steere Hill and then head back along the Outer Loop Trail and cross a small wooden bridge.
For the most part, we will be walking single-file on narrow trails making it easier to follow social distancing guidelines. Please bring a mask, though, for those occasions when we take a break and chat. Don’t forget sunscreen and insect repellent. Be aware that trails of this type typically feature sections with rocks, stumps, and tree roots to maneuver.
Please register for each individual walk that you plan to attend.
