Jean Francois Millet’s DandelionsHow to Pastel Paint

Gregory Maichack, award-winning artist, twice Massachusetts Cultural Council Gold Star Award Program nominee, presents on April 13, from 6:30-8:30pm an exciting remote Zoom event. This all-new “Millet’s Dandelions"  workshop has instruction in expressive pastel strokes, blending, and creating special effects. Sheer beginners to advanced will keep their 12 X 18 pastel painting. At the Museum of Fine Arts (MFA) Boston, the largest collection of Millet’s pastels, Maichack took close up pictures of “Dandelions,” which Maichack provides to participants as color references.  Maichack’s own pastel painted works will unveil the process.  We will be enchanted by this famous pastel painting by Millet, founder of the Barbizon school, an artist Vincent van Gogh was so infatuated with that he did inspired studies of his work. All will be entertained by anecdotes on Millet’s life.

Painting kits will be available during Curbside for this event.
