If you are a seasoned trustee with ideas to share, or someone who wants a refresher about the roles and responsibilities of your job, we welcome you to this workshop. Library Directors and future trustees are also welcome to join us As a trustee, you have taken on two big jobs! The first is to serve as a tireless advocate for your library, working to help it become "bigger and better". The second job is to learn about your library, about your community and its needs, about the laws and state programs affecting your library, about other libraries, and about the issues facing libraries today. Cindy Roach, Head of Library Advisory and Development at the MBLC, and Deb Hoadley, Advisor, MLS, will introduce you to the roles of trustees, library directors and friends and will describe the resources out there to help you in your role as library trustee. .
