| Description (old) | “Children’s Literature for the Rest of Us: Books for Grades Three to Six; Folktales; Series Books” This workshop is intended for public service librarians who must “work the floor” and are asked to make book recommendations to parents when children’s services librarians might not be available to help. The focus will be on books to recommend for those children just learning to read, first chapter books for those children just ready to handle chapters, and then some great suggestions for books for early elementary grade children. Highlighted will be popular series and also some newer titles. Though the focus is for public service/adult librarians, those who work in in a children’s area of a library or youth services librarians who are less experienced might find this webinar useful. Length: one and one-half hours. Presented by Sue McCleaf Nespeca, M.Ed & M.L.S., Early Literacy/Children's Literature Specialist, Website: www.kidlitplus.com. Instructions to webinar participants will be sent in advance of the webinar.
