Improve Your Services and Advocate for Your Library

“Assessment” is one of the themes in the new MLS strategic plan. Effective assessment techniques can help you improve your programs, collections, space, and services and become a more informed advocate for your library. After this program, you will be able to:

• Compare how assessment is applied to key library functions in different settings, including variations in language and motivation.
• Analyze library programs and services through the lens of assessment so you can address gaps and opportunities; and
• Identify key trends and select resources to help build the culture of assessment at your library.

You will leave with an action plan that you can customize for your library. All levels of experience are welcome, from those who are brand new to assessment, to the seasoned pros looking to share and hear new ideas.
