How do you provide effective reference services for your community? This 2-session basic library techniques (BLT) workshop will offer an overview of reference, including profession standards and ethics. Discussion of the reference collection and interview, readers' advisory, legal and health reference, plus other specific Massachusetts reference resources will be discussed.

Kristi Chadwick, MLS Advisor – Small Libraries, and invited guests will provide the training. Part 1 of the Reference BLT will take place on April 29 and Part 2 on April 30; you need to register separately for each workshop and attend both sessions for BLT credit.
