Part one and part two are designed to work together. You may come to one or both!
Part 1: Examine Your Career and Diagnose an Action Plan
Is your library career feeling sluggish? Do you get chills or nausea when you think about the next step on your career path (or maybe even your next day on the job)? If so, this workshop is for you! You’ll start by examining your own skills, interests, and accomplishments, and then you will assess them strategically in the context of the library and information science field’s current and developing needs. Based on this gap analysis approach, you will begin to diagnose a career action plan using resources and techniques that you learn during the session, such as informational interviewing.
Please bring a copy of your current resume or c.v. and a laptop, tablet, or smartphone* with web access for this hands-on workshop. Those with all levels of library experience are welcome to join us. Instructed by Kelly Jo Woodside, MLS Advisor.
If attending both sessions, you must register for each separately and please bring a brown bag lunch.
