Minecraft is a creative sandbox game that combines the excitement of fighting for your life with the creativity of building whatever comes to mind, all while being able to share that experience with others. It's a current favorite among kids aged anywhere from five years old to 18+ for its unique multiplayer abilities. Bringing Minecraft to a library can give kids and teens a place to play together that's both fun and educational.

This webinar is designed to introduce you to the game Minecraft and show you why hosting Minecraft programming is a great fit for your library. It will also walk you through the more technical side of running a server and keeping your patrons entertained.

Alex Cline is a college student who has been playing Minecraft since 2012 and prefers to spend her time building epic maps. She started her own server in 2013 and plays with a small group of friends nearly daily. She, along with her build team, engineers maps both for private use and for libraries such as Newton and Natick, to use for their Minecraft Clubs.
