Part One: Beyond Surveys

Moving beyond surveys and planning purposefully will help you create library programs and services that really meet the needs of your community. But how do we know what they really need and where do we start?
In part one participants will:
• Be introduced to user experience research and human-centered design theory and, in a hands-on environment, will learn some simple strategies for gathering information about their customers;
• Learn techniques that can be implemented with small teams and in short periods of time, as well as ways to evaluate space and services.

Please bring a laptop, tablet, or smartphone with web access for this workshop. Those with all levels of library experience are welcome to join us.

If attending both sessions, you must register for each separately and please bring a brown bag lunch.
