DESCRIPTION:Attention all copy catalogers!&nbsp; When you look at a finished bibliographic record do you understand the logic and the thought process behind that information?&nbsp; Does the record match the item you have in your hand?&nbsp; Why or why not?&nbsp; Cataloging Consultant Dodie Gaudet dissects the bibliographic record, explains how a cataloger creates one from scratch, and helps you decide whether to attach your holdings to the record you&#39;ve found.&nbsp; This session is appropriate for&nbsp; new catalogers and anyone wanting a review of current cataloging rules and MARC code, and is not intended to address&nbsp; practices of any specific library system or network.&nbsp; An introduction to Resource Description and Access (RDA) is included.<br />
