| Description (old) | Whether you are actively trying to build your patron base or keep your patrons current on your library’s services and materials, you need marketing skills. And without a background in marketing you’ve probably asked questions like: Is there a right way to format a press release? How do I get the paper to print my events? What is a marketing plan, and why do I need one? How can social media help get bodies into my library? These questions and others will be answered in this program. We will look at examples of press releases, discuss best practices in design and distribution of materials and explore the various and sundry ways to identify user groups (or potential user groups) and reach out to them. Instructed by MLS Advisor Anna Popp This workshop will also be offered on the following dates at these locations: Monday July 16 at MLS Whately Wednesday July 25 in Pittsfield Thursday August 2 in Charlton Wednesday August 22 in Natick Friday August 24 in North Andover Wednesday August 29 in Lakeville |
