Through centuries of art, much of it now in East Coast museums, we'll explore how a Turkish bishop evolved into one of Christianity’s most beloved saints. Then in American artwork we'll see Nicholas change again—into Santa Claus.
Join us for an Illustrated conversation about art, with Dr. Michael Norris, former museum educator at Metropolitan Museum of Art. Dr. Norris, of Armchair Art Tours received his BA in classics from the University of California at San Diego and his MA in classics and PhD in Art History at the University of California at Santa Barbara. He spent twenty years at the Cloisters Museum and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and has lectured on trips all over the world.
