Do you have an idea for a non-fiction book? The first step towards publication is to put together a book proposal containing information including an overview, author bio and platform, competitive books, target audience, and a marketing plan. This program will answer common questions non-fiction writers have about the process.

Presenter Kerri Sullivan sold her book to a publisher in 2020, and during this program she will share her experience crafting the book's proposal along with samples from it. She will also share helpful free resources and books for writers who are ready to get started. You will leave with a greater understanding of what a book proposal is and how to make one, and you will be given simple tasks to help get you started.

Kerri Sullivan is a New Jersey-based writer, librarian, and the editor of New Jersey Fan Club: Artists & Writers Celebrate the Garden State
