Did you know that 1 in 8 families in the U.S. struggle with hunger every day? For most of us, a well-stocked fridge and a full belly are the norm. Unfortunately, that is not the case for many households in our area.
The Friends of the Colts Neck Library & The Jon Bon Jovi Soul Kitchen are partnering to offer our first-ever Empty Bowls Pottery Sale to create awareness and raise money to aid in the fight against hunger. Proceeds from the sale will benefit both the Colts Neck Library Friends and Empty Bowls, a nationwide grassroots effort to aid those suffering from food insecurity.
Join us October 18, 19 and 20 in the lower gallery to view hundreds of bowls created and donated by artists, students and members of the community. These bowls will be offered for sale during this three-day event. An Empty Bowl purchase will raise funds as well as provide a tangible reminder that someone goes without food each and every day.
Friday, October 18th from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm - Enjoy refreshments while you peruse the display on opening night
