Have you ever wondered which birds are singing in your yard or flitting from tree to tree? Join Otis Library and the Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center for an introduction to birding with a “Birding 101” class for Adults on Wednesday, October 6, at 6pm in the Library’s Community Room. Learn tips and tricks on identifying local species by sight and sound. Find out the best times and places to see different species.
On Saturday, October 9 at 8am, put your knowledge to use as we explore the paths at Mohegan Park in Norwich looking for year round and migrant birds for a socially-distanced Bird Walk. A meeting place will be provided closer to the date. Bring binoculars if you have them. There are a limited number of spaces available for the Bird Walk.
These programs are great for bird watchers of all skill levels! There is separate registration for each session. Please note that masks are required in the library.
