.

Wondering what’s up with bats in New Hampshire? Come learn about the different bats found in our state, where to look for them, and how landowners and homeowners can help conserve these fascinating mammals. You’ll also learn about disease, how white-nose syndrome is impacting them and how you can help.

Our presenter is Katherine Ineson who is a PhD student at the University of New Hampshire, studying the impact of white-nose syndrome, a deadly fungal disease, on little brown bats in New England. By monitoring summer colonies of little brown bats, she hopes to determine whether the population is beginning to recover from white-nose syndrome, as well as what we can do to help the species through conservation and management actions.
