Today's Program: Cinnamon-Applesauce Ornaments
INGREDIENTS: 3/4 cup applesauce, 1 cup ground cinnamon, 2 tablespoons white liquid glue
INSTRUCTIONS: Mix ingredients together until well combined. Add more applesauce a tablespoon at a time, as needed to form a soft dough. Knead with your hands until the dough is smooth - caution dough is VERY MESSY! Roll out between 2 pieces of parchment paper to approximately 3/8-inch thickness. Cut into desired shapes with cookie cutters. Use a straw to punch a hole near the top of the ornament for a ribbon. Be sure to do this BEFORE drying. Place the ornaments on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Air dry 2 -4 days depending upon thickness or dry in a 200-degree oven for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Flip halfway through drying. Use as is or decorate if desired. String ribbon through the hole for hanging.
