For Children entering Kindergarten in Fall 2019 - Preregistration is required and will open June 1st

 Wednesdays 1:30 – 2:30 pm

June 19 - Join the Astronaut Training team! This week we will work on cooperation – working together to accomplish goals, sharing ideas, listening, following directions

June 26 - Create a Straw Rocket and blast it into space! This week we will work on fine motor skills –writing, drawing and cutting instruments.

July 3 - No Program

July 10 - What is it like to travel in space? How do scientists look at material our astronauts bring back from the moon? This week we will work on observations - using descriptive words, learning new color names, opposites, and sounds

July 17 - How do Astronauts stay healthy? How do they stay warm on a mission? With their Space Suits of course! This week we will talk about minimizing exposure to germs and managing outdoor clothing. Children are asked to bring their snow boots, coats hats, gloves and even snow pants if they have them. These will be the space suits for our Astronauts!

July 24 - What is the plan for our Astronaut Mission?  This week we will work on math concepts including sequencing and sorting.

July 31 - Science experiments on our space station? This week we will work on scientific thinking – Predict, test, evaluate, stick to task and change methods if necessary

Fun activities will be designed to promote the skills listed for each week. Each program will build on the skills covered in previous weeks.

Children MUST be enrolled to enter Kindergarten Fall 2018 to participate.
