Beginning Thursday, June 13, visit the library, check out a book or audio book (no children’s books) or attend a program and you will receive a ticket to enter into our raffle.  One lucky winner will receive a gift basket from Sarris Candies to be drawn Wednesday, August 7th. Norm (from Sarris) will be doing the honors. You do not need to be present to win.

Stargazing and Myths: An Introduction to the Constellations and Night Sky Mythology

Outdoor Observing Session with Telescopes at 9:00pm (Weather Permitting)

Come spend the evening under the stars with local amateur astronomer Larry McHenry. Larry has been active in amateur astronomy for over 40 years. He will give two presentations: Stargazing and Mythology and Observing the Moon for Beginners. After the presentation, weather permitting, there will be an outdoor observing session starting around 9:00pm with several telescopes to observe Jupiter and Saturn, along with the 1st Quarter Moon, star clusters and nebulae.
