.  Libraries Working Towards Social Justice Presents: Galen's performance & lecture on Afro-Cuban Jazz
  “This program is generally referred to as a Wrap Around. It is a combined lecture and music performance based on the following topic: Afro-Cuban Jazz.
  It begins with a flute prelude performed by Galen. Followed by: A 60 minutes PowerPoint presentation focusing primarily on its roots and instrumentations (drums  and timbales, claves and cajon). It also highlights prominent Latin Jazz artist such as Mario Bauza, Cachao, and Machito; and demonstrate the various styles and rhythm with actual samples of the music. Guests will be given an opportunity to test their knowledge of the subject via a trivia. 15 minutes Q & A”
