Interested in cooking together as a family? Want to learn how to make simple, nutritious and delicious vegetable stir fry and spring rolls? Spring is the time for sunshine, color, and fresh vegetables!The Voorheesville Public Library is excited to partner with the educators at the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Albany County as part of the Healthy Families Grant. This program is for FAMILIES with children in grades K-8. Take & Make Bags will be given to each family that registers, which will include some of the supplies and tools for meal preparation. Hannaford gift cards will be included so that families can purchase fresh vegetables as close to the April 11th date as possible.
When registering as a FAMILY, please include all names of those who will be attending with the adult's name first and the children's names, separated by a comma, after. For younger children (grades K-3), please make sure that an older sibling or an adult is assisting during the cooking class. Registrants may begin picking up the kits starting Monday, 4/5. You will receive notification via email. This class will be held virtually via Zoom.
