.Join local author, Anne O’Brien Carelli, as she leads us in an in-person discussion of her middle grade novel, Skylark and Wallcreeper, a fascinating story that cleverly weaves together an intergenerational story between 12-year-old Lily and her beloved grandmother, Colette, whose lives have been impacted by two historic moments: Superstorm Sandy and the French Resistance in World War II. While helping her granny Collette evacuate to a makeshift shelter in Brooklyn during Superstorm Sandy, Lily uncovers secrets of her grandmother's past as a member of the French Resistance during WWII and admires her grandmother in a whole new way.
