Does your child love to cook? Would they like to be more independent in the kitchen? Join Certified Culinary Arts Instructor and Literacy Specialist, Heather O'Keefe, to cook up some fun using Mac and Cheese by Sarah Weeks as inspiration. The children will learn kitchen safety and sanitation procedures, equipment identification and proper use, measuring skills, kitchen math and recipe reading. Literacy will be incorporated into this fun, hands-on program. Attendees will enjoy eating the recipes they have created. Registrants will receive a copy of the book. For grades K-2.
