Meet Olive Chen, the most magnificent artist in the whole world! Her parents are serious artists, who paint prim, proper, perfect shapes. They know Olive has the talent to follow in their footsteps, but much to their displeasure, Olive likes to smear, splatter, splash, and lick. She has an artistic quality all her own! Can she help her parents understand that her artistic expression has value as well? .Join us for a morning of learning and creativity as we read and discuss Lian Cho's Oh, Olive! and create art reminiscent of Cho's beautifully diverse and exuberant illustrations. For grades 1-3. Some caregivers may participate and others can sit in the adjoining room in the art studio. Through the generosity of the Friends of the Library, each child will bring home an art project and a hardcover copy of the picture book. Please register. We will meet at Art Stars!
