Warlight by Michael Ondaatje

In London in 1945, 14-year-old Nathaniel and his older sister Rachel are left by their parents in the care of a strange man they call The Moth.  After months of silence, their mother returns without their father and without any explanation of her absence. A dozen years later, Nathaniel begins to uncover all he did not understand about that period. Ondaatje's lyrical meditation on wartime and memory was longlisted for the 2018 Booker Prize.

Discussion moderated by Librarian Cindy Haiken. Copies of the book are available at the Information Desk.
