THIS PROGRAM WAS RESCHEDULED FROM 9/22
The death of George Floyd on May 25 of this year reignited protests and discussion around police brutality, white supremacy, and systemic racism. Join us for an open and empathetic conversation about race, community, and opportunities for change and healing. We will be joined by members of the Wallingford Town Council as well as other local leaders, educators, and citizens. This and future conversations will begin by focusing on a book, movie, or other piece of media that addresses race and inequality.
Recommended Reading: Citizen: An American Lyric by New Haven-based author Claudia Rankine. Request a copy from the library (limited copies available), listen to the audiobook on Hoopla with your library card, or purchase it from Amazon or your local bookseller.
All are welcome.
Sharon Rabera of the Women and Families Center will facilitate this conversation.
Registration required. Prior to the program you will receive an invitation to the Zoom meeting.
