Add this Event to Calendar 11/17/2020 07:00 PM 11/17/2020 08:00 PM Folktales & Other Stories with Liz Gruber, Storyteller

Join storyteller Liz Gruber for an evening of folktales and stories. Cozy up with some hot cocoa for this (virtual) fireside storytelling session. All ages are welcome, but this event will be geared toward an adult audience (because big kids like stories, too!).

Liz has been telling stories for 20 years. Whether folktale, myth, personal story or contemporary literary tale, Liz is a passionate conduit for story. Her storytelling makes connections across time, experiential, ethnic and national boundaries drawing her audience into a shared experience and dissolving the differences that often separate people.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:

This event is part of Tellabration! A Celebration of the Oral Tradition, which is a mammoth storytelling event - and that is no Tall Tale! It is a storytelling phenomenon, made up of dozens of storytelling happenings all over the world. Its purpose is to introduce adults, as well as children, to the pleasures of the oral art of storytelling. It is one of the programs offered by The Connecticut Storytelling Center, based at Connecticut College in New London.
