Do you want to talk about books with your friends? Are you interested in sharpening your writing? You can join the Worcester Public Library’s virtual summer writing workshop series to read a book and review it. The Library will display your reviews online to help other patrons decide what to read! #Quaranread with the Worcester Public Library!

In partnership with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the Worcester Public Library is hosting a writing workshop series for high school students throughout the month of July. By joining the workshops, you will be able to talk to your peers about what you’re reading, develop some college-level writing skills, and offer reading suggestions to the Worcester community. At the end of the month, we will put together a digital exhibit to share all of your book reviews to help other library patrons find books to read. All you have to do to participate is be willing to read (any book, you choose!) and be ready to write about what you have read. The writing workshop series will emphasize a process-based, collaborative format where your interests will determine what we work on. For students in grades 9-12.
