FIRE HYDRANT REPAIR

Subject:           Water Interruption

The Town of Mansfield Water Division will be shutting off the water main on Stearns Ave. Wednesday, February 20th in order to replace a broken fire hydrant. We estimate Stearns Ave. will be without water service for 2 – 4 hours.  Water customers are asked to please plan accordingly.

Water customers may or may not experience discolored water as a result of this activity. Should this occur, please run the water until the discoloration is removed. As a precaution to protect laundry, customers are urged to check clothing washers to make sure water color is clear before adding laundry. We apologize for any inconvenience.

POTENTIAL WATER INTERRUPTION: Posted 1-13-19 

Mansfield Water Division will be replacing a broken fire hydrant on South Main Street on Thursday, Feb. 14th. In order to complete the repair customers water pressure will be reduced or off for 3-5 hours. 

Customers in East Mansfield may or may not experience water discoloration once service is restored to normal running conditions. Should this occur please run water until color appears clear.

Mansfield Water Customers can now receive e-mail notifications regarding water related incidents that may potentially impact your water service. Activities such as hydrant flushing, planned shut offs, emergency repairs, and broken mains are known to stir up mineral deposits within the system which may cause an unpleasant discoloration in your water service.
