Our fall toddler times are back beginning on Wednesday, September 12 and running through Wednesday, November 14! Toddler time is 15-20 minutes of short stories, songs, rhymes, puppet visits, scarf waving and egg shaking! This program is perfect for kids ages 0-3. Registration is required for toddler time and begins on September 5th. Once a child is registered, they hold a spot for the entire 10-week session.

Ready… Set… Lego! Our library Lego Club returns this fall, so get ready to use your imagination and build, build, build! Lego Club is for children in kindergarten and up, but we will have Duplos available for any younger friends who wish to create. Children attending the club must be accompanied by an adult. This program is from 3:30-4:30 and no registration necessary. A BIG thank you to all of the community members who donated the supplies that make this club possible.

Our fall preschool story hour is back beginning on Thursday, September 13th and running through Thursday, November 15th! Preschool Story Hour is for children ages 3-5 and who are able to separate from their parent/caregiver for the first part of the program. This program consists of 30 minutes of longer stories, rhymes and the chance to "Go Banans" followed by a craft. Preschool story hour is a registered event and sign-ups begin on Wednesday, September 5th. Once a child is registered, they will hold a spot for the entire 10-week session. Our story hours are funded by the Friends of the Library.

Have you visited the top of Mount Washington?  An infamous place of extremes, 6,288-foot Mount Washington, New Hampshire has been captivating audiences for hundreds of years.  Will Broussard, outreach coordinator for the Mount Washington Observatory will share Tales from the Home of the World’s Worst Weather on Thursday November 15 at 7:00 PM at the Abington Public Library. 

Registration is not necessary for this program; seventy-five people will be accommodated on a first-to-arrive basis.  This program is appropriate for adults, teens and older children (age ten and up), and is provided with State Aid to Public Libraries funds.  Please direct questions to Library Director Deborah Grimmett at 781-982-2139, or via email at ablib@ocln.org.
