   and College-Level tutoring in Math, Physics, and Chemistry every Monday.  Subjects that will be covered include:

   Math: Algebra, Geometry, Pre Calculus, Analysis, Calculus, Linear Algebra, and Ordinary Differential Equations
   Physics: All High School and College Physics
   Chemistry: High school chemistry
 

No Registration or appointment necessary, however participants must be high school aged or older.

The California Highway Patrol and the Castro Valley Library present Start Smart: Teen Driver Program. CHP officers will discuss traffic collision avoidance techniques, collision causing factors, driver/parent responsibilities, and seatbelt usage. Additionally, testimonies will be provided by officers who have investigated fatal collisions involving teens, and by family members who have lost love ones in traffic collisions.

The Start Smart program is a driver safety education class which targets new and future licensed teenage drivers between the age of 15 - 19 and their parents/guardians.

 Teens are invited to partake in a free ACT  practice test administered by Kaplan Test & Prep Admissions at the Castro Valley Library, Saturday, January 19th from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.
 
In preparation for one of the most important test of their life, this 3 hour workshop will offer teens the chance to experience what it is like to take the ACT, and to ready them for the real thing.

During this open lab time, you can use the computers to update or create a resume, search for jobs online, or build new work skills.

Spark your creative energy and learn to improve your writing! All Castro Valley students from 6th through 12th grades are invited to register for this one day annual event. Members of the community are also welcome.

Local teachers and professional writers will offer a series of workshops. The day will  include sessions for practice writing, information on how to get publilshed, and a panel discussion by the presenters. Lunch with be provided for registered participants.

   The Castro Valley library and two post-Graduate Science and Engineering Students are offering free High School
   and College-Level tutoring in Math, Physics, and Chemistry every Monday.  Subjects that will be covered include:

   Math: Algebra, Geometry, Pre Calculus, Analysis, Calculus, Linear Algebra, and Ordinary Differential Equations
   Physics: All High School and College Physics
   Chemistry: High school chemistry
 

No Registration or appointment necessary, however participants must be high school aged or older.
