		If you’ve always wanted to share your love of reading, now is your chance to become an adult literacy volunteer. As an Alameda County Library Literacy tutor, you will work one-to-one at the library teaching an adult the basics of reading and writing. No previous teaching experience is required—simply a love of reading, some patience and a desire to help others. Please note, you must pre-register for the event. No walk-in registration will be permitted. After training you will be matched with a local student and set a time to meet at Castro Valley Library. Follow-up training and support will be provided by the literacy staff.
